I was getting tired of the maintenance of our pool pavers, so I spoke to a few companies. I'm so happy I went with Dave. He provided the estimate same day, showed up on time, was friendly and communicated the entire way. It looks amazing!

Why seal your pavers

Florida is hard on pavers. Sealing fights back.

Unsealed pavers take a beating here: all-day sun, summer storms and humidity that never quits. A proper seal stops the damage before it costs you a replacement.

  • Faded, chalky color

UV bleaches pavers and wears the surface down to bare aggregate. Sealer brings the color back and shields it.

  • Joint sand washing out

Heavy rain flushes sand from the joints and pavers start to shift. Re-sanding and sealing locks them in place.

  • Weeds, mold and mildew

Open joints and porous stone are a home for growth. A sealed surface sheds water and stays cleaner for longer.

  • Oil, rust and efflorescence

Spills soak straight into unsealed pavers. Sealed ones resist stains, so a hose and mild soap handle most messes.

Choose your finish

Wet look or natural matte. Your call.

Two homes can have the same pavers and want completely different looks. Mix them if you like: plenty of customers go gloss on the driveway and matte around the pool.

Wet-look sealed driveway with a glossy sheen reflecting the light

Wet look

Deepens every color and adds a soft sheen, like the pavers just got rained on. The go-to for curb appeal.

  • Richest, darkest color
  • Popular on driveways and entries
  • Stains wipe off the surface
Matte sealed pool deck pavers with a natural, low-sheen finish

Natural matte

Protects without changing the look. The pavers keep their original color, just cleaner and protected.

  • Natural, low-sheen finish
  • Favorite for pool decks and lanais
  • Non-skid additive available

How a seal job runs

Done in the right order. Every time.

Sealer only works as well as the prep under it. Skip a step and you seal the dirt in. So every job follows the same five steps.

    Deep clean

A surface-cleaner pressure wash lifts dirt, mold and stains. Old, failing sealer gets stripped when it needs to come off.

  3. 03

    Re-sand the joints

Fresh sand is swept into every joint so the pavers stay locked together and weeds have nowhere to root.

Sprayed on evenly in your finish, edges and corners included, and timed around Tampa's weather.

All FAQs
How often should pavers be resealed in Tampa?

Every 2 to 3 years for most homes. Driveways and other high-traffic areas usually need it sooner than a shaded lanai or pool deck.

How long do I stay off newly sealed pavers?

Walk on them after 24 hours, drive on them after 48, and give it 72 hours before patio or pool furniture goes back. You'll get the exact times for your job before we leave.

Will sealed pavers be slippery?

Not when sealing is done properly. For pool decks and travertine, a non-skid additive can go into the sealer for extra grip around wet feet.

Should I pick wet look or matte?

Wet look deepens the color and adds a sheen, which is why it's popular on driveways. Matte keeps the stone's natural look and is a common pick for pool decks. You can mix both on the same property.

My pavers are brand new. When can they be sealed?

Wait at least 30 days after installation. Sealing too early can trap moisture and cause a white haze called efflorescence.

What if it rains?

Tampa weather can shift a schedule. Sealing is planned around the forecast, and the date moves before the quality does.
